A 15-year-old schoolboy was stabbed to death yesterday afternoon at Plaisance, East Coast Demerara (ECD).
The incident happened at around 16:00 hrs at Graham Street, Plaisance.
The deceased has been identified as Derril Wong of Lot 42 Plaisance. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation.
The Guyana Standard has been informed that the deceased and the suspect were in a yard liming when an argument ensued. This later resulted in a fight between the two young boys and ended in the teen being stabbed.
The suspect fled the scene upon realizing the teen was dead. He was later arrested by the police.
