A drunken brawl between two siblings resulted in the death of 47-year-old Satnarine Jattan this afternoon. Jattan, a painter was killed at his Lot 471 Charlotte Street, Enterprise, East Coast Demerara (ECD) home around 15:30 hrs.
The suspect, Jattan’s brother has since been arrested.
The Guyana Standard has been informed that the deceased and suspect were imbibing and later became involved in an argument. Shortly after, the two brothers were heard abusing each other. The body of Jattan was found lying motionless with a wound to the abdomen.
He was taken to CC Nichson Hospital at Nabaclis where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
According to information received from neighbours, the two siblings are alcoholics who would abuse each other whenever they are intoxicated.
They have reportedly threatened to kill each other on numerous occasions.
