Police are investigating the murder of Osafo Pollard, a 29-year-old Taxi Driver of West La Penitence which occurred yesterday about 22:30hrs at North East La Penitance.
Enquiries disclosed that on the date and during the time mentioned, a loud explosion similar to gunshot was first heard followed by persons screaming and running away from the location. When the dust settled, Osafo Pollard was seen lying with a wound to his head. He was subsequently picked up and taken to Georgetown Public Hospital where he died about 00:20hrs this morning while receiving treatment.
The body is presently at the hospital’s mortuary awaiting a Post Mortem Examination.
Investigations are ongoing.
