Twenty-two-year-old Shakeel Joseph of Lot 100 Paul’s Lane, Beterverwagting, ECD was charged two days ago with the offenses of possession of firearm and ammunition without a licence and the possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.
He appeared at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court 2 before Magistrate A. George when the charge was read to him and pleaded not guilty. Bail was refused and he was remanded to prison.
The matters were postponed to April 2, 2022, for report.
