The CDC, in a press release, stated that Hussain and a team from the CDC visited Region 10 and is conducting a flood impact assessment and engaging key stakeholders to support ongoing response efforts. The team met with Regional Executive Officer (REO) Dr. Harris at the Regional

“Water levels are still rising and it is affecting the livelihood of persons. In some areas, water is almost at the rooftop of the houses. The team visited several areas today,” Blair said.
The APNU team included Members of Parliament Saiku Andrews and Terrence Campbell, RDC Councillors Suzette Gordon-Murray, Faye Rodrigues, Orlon Rogers and Chairman of the PNC Social Services Delon Carter.
Mark Goring, a We Invest in Nationhood (WIN) Councillor said the assessment by CDC was conducted in Lamp Island, Kwakwani Park, Waterfront, Jeep Landing, Lauder’s Ville, and Hururu.

On Monday, the councillors of Region 10 Regional Democratic Council extended a call to the government, specifically the Civil Defence Commission (CDC), to address the urgent situation faced by residents of Kwakwani who have been affected by heavy flooding that started over the weekend.
