Investigators from the Guyana Police Force (GPF)’s Major Crimes Department are on their way to the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA) to collect 50-year-old Milaimi Alli, who allegedly paid her lover $7M to murder her husband in 2009.

The Guyana Standard has been informed that the woman arrived at the airport moments ago and was arrested on the spot. She will be escorted to the Criminal Investigation Department where she will be grilled for the murder of Ramzan Alli.

Milaimi Alli came on a Caribbean Airline flight from the United States of America.

The Guyana Police Force (GPF) said that the deceased’s wife is wanted for questioning in relation to the murder committed against Alli between July 11 and 12 in 2009 at Coldingen.

Ramzan Alli was allegedly struck to the head and suffocated while asleep and stuffed in a car trunk by his wife and her lover. The vehicle was discovered in Coldingen, East Coast Demerara (ECD) hours after he was murdered.

The suspected lover, Sadeek Mohamed Mitchell, of Foulis, East Coast Demerara, was remanded to prison two Thursdays ago for the heartless murder of the businessman.

The Guyana Standard has been informed that the investigation into the murder of Alli was reopened less than three weeks ago after investigators received new information which led to the arrest of Mitchell, a taxi driver.

During interrogation at the Criminal Investigation Department, the suspect told police how he and the woman murdered the businessman while his children were sleeping in their respective rooms and then got rid of the body.

Back in 2009, both the woman and taxi driver were arrested but they were released due to lack of evidence.
